A FEW USEFUL DETAILS
Before you begin.
How does the learning work?
The course is online and self-paced. Allow approximately 90 minutes including application activities and the questionnaire. Pause and return on the same browser. Download your workbook and progress backup if you change device. Notes stay on your device and are not submitted to Micro PLD.
What does the service licence cover?
Staff at one approved education and care service can complete the course individually or learn together. Separate services need separate licences. Each participant completes the activities and questionnaire for their own certificate. Use a separate learner profile or export progress before clearing a shared browser profile.
Is this official or mandatory child safety training?
This is independent Micro PLD professional learning about assessment preparation and quality improvement. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by ACECQA, a regulatory authority or any government agency. It does not replace mandatory national child safety training through Geccko or approved child protection training.
Does the certificate guarantee our rating?
The certificate records completion of this professional learning. It does not certify a service’s compliance or guarantee an NQS rating. Your regulatory authority makes assessment and rating decisions.
Can OSHC and family day care services use it?
Yes. The course includes examples for centre-based services, OSHC and family day care operating under the NQF. Apply the activities to your service type and use current national and jurisdiction guidance for specific requirements.
Course context checked 20 October 2026 against Assessment and Rating guidance, QIP guidance and current child safety reforms. Use current official guidance for your service and jurisdiction.
